Waterfalls This Time Of Year?

Hi Anyone,

I was wondering what the water situation is like in the region this time of year and are there any beautiful waterfalls with lots of water to be seen?

I want to do a small trip and take photos, but wanted to check on conditions first if possible. I hear Wachiratharn Waterfall is one of the nicest?

Any information is greatly appreciated.

It is the dry season so the flow of water will be down a little. There are a number of water falls at Doi Internon, also on the way up there go into the hill tribe village about half way up and look up to the cliffs above there you will see a number of them.

Plenty of waterfalls near CM

Easiest is Huay Keow falls near the Zoo on the Huay Keow road to Doi Suthep

Monthathon falls half way to Doi Suthep, actuall about 5 falls on the walk from Mothathon falls to Sai Yoi falls (entrance fee).

Then a much harder one to find Dtat Mook falls above Huay Tung Tao lake

Plenty of water running in most of them.

Naam Tok Bua Thong is very nice. I was just there a week ago or so.

The Huay Keow Falls coming off Doi Suthep are very low right now, but it's still a pretty place to visit. I was just there yesterday and it's very close and easy to get to. There were lots of bathers sitting in the plunge pools and sliding down the rocky faces.

It was much prettier earlier in the year with a bit more water.

Of course, there are OTHER lovely sights as well...

Surprisingly enough, there are tiny fish in the small stream at Huay Keow Falls. How they got there I have no idea.
