If you buy a camera on-line (from say HK) and have it shipped to Thailand, what customs duties and taxes am I likely to be hit with? (I am talking about a value sub $500). DOes anyone have any experience of this? Thanks

I can't quote an exact percentage; but I have bought many lenses and a couple of cameras via eBay out of Hong Kong and never paid more than a few hundred baht. The secret is to ask the seller to be creative with valuing the package for customs.
