Blackouts: Phuket to enjoy obligatory Earth Hours

PHUKET: -- The Phuket Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has announced scheduled blackouts to carry out maintenance on high-voltage power lines, install new lines and move power poles.

The dates and locations of the operations, which will be carried out from 9am to 5pm, are:

March 15 - Chalong

Along Luang Por Chuang Road, from the TOT office on Chao Fa West Road to Phuket Country Home, including Moo Baan Chanakan, Moo Baan Inter Villa 2, Luang Por Chaem Road, Poon-Tsup Chalong villa, and the Nanthawan 2, Seevalee 2, Laddawan 2, Parichart developments in Land & Houses Park.

March 17 - Wichit

Along Muang Thong - Khao Khad Road, from Soi Bor Rae to Khao Khad Viewpoint, including Soi Somboon, Naam Sai Villa, Piam Sook Villa, Soi Baan Na, Soi Pracha Ruamjai, Soi Bor Rae Khao Khad.

March 18 - Ao Yon

From Ao Yon - Kao Khad Road to The View development, including areas throughout Baan Ao Yon, such as Soi Ao Yon.

March 24 - Kathu

Wichit Songrkram Road, from Soi Bang Thong (opposite the entrance to Phuket Water Ski Cable Way) to Kathu Municipality, including some areas along Soi Bang Thong, Bang Thong Village, Baan Bang Thong Hillside and Baan Poh Thong Village.
