Perhaps, Thai ironic suggestion is lost in translation. Might there be a standard as to how irony is defined?

Thais do understand irony.... the confusion is caused by them understanding it as 'ilony' or 'ilonic'

A lot of people hereabouts find it difficult to differentiate (that was a tough one to squeeze out - I'll try it again for practice - differentiate) irony from sarcasm.
