this shop is a few hundred yards past one of the three major cross road junctions on the left

..almost opposite to Chiang Mai Plastic Co, in Warorot Market (one way street heading south out of the market) is large fabric store run by middle aged Indian/Thai couple..have all manner of fabrics..Im sure they have suede

But I don't understand your last sentence: so you pass the railway station towards san kamphaeng, then a few hundred yards after the first major cross road on the left?

about half a mile after passing the railway station is a major junction with traffic ligts

go straight on towards san kamphaeng ,,, the next ones the same .... and the third

the shop is 100 yards PAST one of them ( second i think ) on the left side of the road
