Just got back from Immigration...

New paperwork to fill in and more things needed... Every body has to fill/supply now.. 90 day reporting, extensions, Proof of address.. ALL is the same 3 pages of paperwork to be filled in. + MUST have blue book + Copy, if blue book is not in your name then copy signed of persons i.d as per the blue book, 2 photo's + Passport + copy of detail page of passport.

Is this something new ? of course I did not have these items, as was not needed last time, so had to drive all the way home again to get.

Talking to someone that was there to pickup there 'Proof of address certificate' There was no fee, it was free, on this Form as well as 90 day reporting receipt your picture is glued on + a red stamp 1/2 over the photo.

Funny cannot find any other post about this ? The person picking up the 'Proof of address certificate' said this was there 3r visit, 1st had not the extra items, 2nd time to show all the extra items, today to pick up the 'Proof of address certificate' so these NEW Forms everyone has to fill in has been in operation since Weds last week.

What is it all about ?

Where are you talking about?

Sorry, Nonthaburi Immigration...

Always before there you go up the steps and in the door on the right, normal is 3 staff, a few chairs and a table.... now you go up the steps and collect all the paperwork, or in my case there was a man + a uniformed officer giving out all these new forms to everyone, you then are shown into a room on the left, another Officer is there + some tables and chairs to fill out all the Forms... After you have all the correct paperwork you then are directed to a window, the Officer/s there were 3, give you a number and you enter the old room, now has many more Officers, tables and Pc's + lots more chairs to sit and wait you number to be called... Lots of people there.... Counted 16 Officers!!

have been there many times before, starting a few says after they opened for the 90 day reporting, never seen more than 3 people there in front of me..... Today must have been 50 there, the Lady I was talking to said it was nothing last week many more people.

Still what are you talking about.

90 day reporting?

Extension of stay?

Residency letter?

What blue book?

House book, car registration or what?

Still what are you talking about.

90 day reporting? YES

Extension of stay? YES

Residency letter? YES

+ 2 Photos + of course Passport + copy of Passport signed.

What blue book?

House book, + If not in your name then must have a signed copy of the i.d of the owner as per name in the Blue book.

Unless you have all this and the 3 pages they give you filled in, you will not get a waiting number at the next rooms window, to get in to see an Immigration Officer..

I have my slip back, signed and dated and a picture of me stuck on it with a red stamp on [stamp is 1/2 on slip and 1/2 over picture. The Lady I was talking to had her Residency letter/Proof of address, also had her photo on it stamped the same..

Noticed others in front of me getting Extension of stay they also had Blue House books.

So this is something new ? I just wondered what it was all about ?

Why were you at immigration is the question. It seems for a residence letter?

Are you saying those only there to do 90 day address reporting were required to have all the items you listed? How do you know if that is not what you were doing?

Not trying to be picky but just do not understand and make sure we are all reading from the same book.

The answer is YES everyone, non Thai white + Asia people all received the same Forms 3 are stapled together, the Forms are in Thai + English + one of the questions is what what your there for... Even if you are there for something different these Form had to be filled in + the Officer then gave out another Form to fill out if it was something different then the listed items. Some of the questions did not make any scene but as I said there was a young Officer in the filling out forms room to help + 2 men not in uniform helping people understand what was needed/required.

Listed on Form:

90 day reporting

Extension of stay

Residency letter

The English Lady I was talking to had 1st arrived there last week Wednesday, the Forms were being given out then...

Normally something new is posted here, but could not find anything, so that is why I asked what is this all about.. Feel sure there must be some other person that uses Nonthaburi Immigration and on Thaivisa ?

Maybe the Lady I was talking to @ 10:30 this morning? or the white man on the black PCX that did not have the required documents? at least 6 other white people there this morning, anyone throw any light on what this is all about ? + is it only Nonthaburi Immigration ? or Immigration Offices everywhere?

OK was easy for me just 45 wasted km as had everything at home, but was thinking of people that say rent somewhere, how would they get the Blue book or a signed copy of the Blue book + a copy signed of the owners i.d card

I keep reading this post over and over again. The more I read it, the more confused I get  .

I'm going later this week, as soon as my letter from the British Embassy arrives. In the past Nonthaburi Immigration have been relaxed, friendly and efficient.

Last year they did ask to see my bank book with a view to seeing where my money came from and how much I spend. I didn't have it with me but did have my UK bank statements showing transfers. They said next year please bring your bank book. I apply for extension on annual pension and not the lump sum method.

It seems now, in addition that they want proof of where you live..in my case a copy of the blue book signed by the house owner, plus I guess a signed copy of her ID card.

So that is what I will take, unless someone enlightens me more............I'l let you know how I go on

Monday drove to the Nonthaburi Immigration office for a 90 days report.

2 minutes after i arrived i did left the office with all papers ready.

See many people talk/complain but most because they have not the required papers ready.

For 90 days registration you need;

1 Filled in form TM 47

1 Valid passport

1 Form TM 7

1 Old slip from the former form TM47

If you have this and all filled in correct and readable the hole process take 2 minutes and is done with a smile.

this personal incident may be related :

this Monday Chaeng Watthana Immigration, while I collect new choip for extension of stay, a non-officer staff checked my passport and asked 'your 90-day reporting was expired' :-(

in March I applied for the extension of stay and just within 2 weeks of 90-day reporting expired. I THOUGHT that I don't need to do 90-day reporting as addition.

one young officer talked to me in good English, and asked me filling in 'few forms'. I explained to her I leave on Thursday and she warned me the 90-day requirements and gave me a green card stating fines for over-stay and no 90-day reporting ! eventually the fine was exempted.

I see this green card everywhere in the Immigration office !

I did as normal, I have many different Forms scanned into my PC, I fill the Forms out and save, so when needed I simply add the date and click print.... No different yesterday printed the Form and took my Passport as normal and done for years. SO YES it is typed so readable. [Done this for years only change when Nonthaburi Office opened as there Forms were a bit different rescanned there Form into my PC]

Turning right into the road leading to the Immigration could see the car park was full, never seen that before, there was 4 white Mini Buses as well.

As per what I said above then happened, 1st Form was what your there for + fill in all your details + was the tear off 90 report on the bottom, 2nd page was Owners/ House-master details, 3rd page was landscape and columns, Name, Passport No: Arrival date. TM No etc, I only put my name + details but noticed other had a list of names and details on this page, so think it was who was living as the same address.

Then going to the window, crowds of people was told I need 2 photos + house Book/copy + i.d signed copy as per name in Blue book...... I do have lots of copies of all this at home, so drove home picked it up and drove back, got in line at the window, is now 10:30, English Lady in front of me I talked to.. At the window many people were getting a number to see a Immigration Officers, The Lady in front of me + myself were waved into the room with no number... I stood behind the Female Officers at the window so could see clear all the different Passports being handed in, ALL of them had these Forms filled out...

It appeared on the next 4 PC's all this info was being entered into a database.....

I can only say what happened yesterday, The English Lady said it was the same last Wednesday + Friday when she went back with all the extra items, odd that it was different for you on Monday :whistling:

All I wanted to know was what is this all about ? + is this something that has to be done every visit ?

Only the first extension of stay is counted as a 90 day report. After that you must make every 90 days regardless of any further extensions of stay.

A bit out of topic, but maybe an explanation, I am living next door to Nonthaburi immigration and some of the officers are -from time to time- my drinking partners. They have been recently under investigation for some reasons that I will not disclose here... but they are a bit stressed up!

As well, the vans are bringing the migrants workers, from all factories around, for correct legalization.

As a regular user of Nonthaburi immigration I'm totally confused by the garbled posts of ignis. I'm due for a 90 day report in May, so if there is anyone who is able to throw any light on this and post an understandable message about it would be very useful. I know that they require proof of address for annual extensions and in December they accepted my Thai driver's license for that.

Sorry it is garbled, just thought now every Immigration Office had a new rule + Forms, and someone would simply say what it is all about.. + would have thought someone would have posted what is now needed.

For safety sake + not having to go back again, take a copy of the blue house book signed by the house owner, + a signed copy of the owners ID card + your Passport + a copy of the detail page + 2 passport size photo's of yourself.. It is simple when you know what is needed.

thanks for the info

I was a bit 'relaxed' for the 90-day reporting, and I think NOT from now :-) as OP suggested, brings all relevant documents and copies !

As I thought, a panic message about nothing. I went to Nonthaburi immigration this morning to do a 90 day report. The procedure was the same as its always been, with the only things needed were the completed 90 day form, and passport. No other documents were asked for or even hinted at. I was in and out in seconds.

The OP must have been doing more than just a 90 day report.

I use Nonthaburi, and always take photocopies of Visa Page, Extensions and passport, plus TM6 and copy from my Yellow Book, normally they give them straight back to me, last time the SBAC girls kept them all, but not a problem I always take those docs with me for 90 day reporting. And the office is a friendly place where it is quick in and quickly out again.

I often see many migrant workers at the car sheds at Nonthaburi Immigration and a man sat there giving them the forms, maybe someone wants Nonthaburi to record all those who use the Office, and set up a database so that we might be informed before hand of an impending 90 day report or an extension application (pigs might fly), maybe there are so many Migrant workers in Nonthaburi. There are a lot of overstayers in Nonthaburi that I know about maybe collecting information from Nonthaburi and then checking it against arrival card information stored at Chaengwattana (woops now I am scaremongering)

Everybody has always had to complete these forms! How was it done before?

Blue book cannot be in a farang's name.

Please tell me you're not a teacher!!
