With the exception of some women from neighboring countries like Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, all foreign prostitutes in Thailand have been trafficked. Getting trafficked women off the streets and not allowing foreign traffickers to gain much of a foothold in Thailand are good things and benefit us all. I don't think anyone, foreign tourists and resident expats as well as Thais on both sides of the law, wants the Boris mafia or West African gangs to become a heavier presence on the Thai commercial sex scene. That would be the day the music dies.
