Any Good Greek Restaurants In Phuket?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Does anybody know if this Greek restaurant is still operating in Patong?

BELLAIR CAFÉ & RESTAURANT, SOI TAN 256/8

Just that I have guests coming to Phuket in Sept/Oct for a 40th birthday and the birthday girl really wants Greek.

In Thailand, crazy I know!!

Or does anyone know of any other Greek restaurants on the island that you can recommend?

Thanks in advance....:jap:

Whilst not strictly 'Greek', the 'Family' restaurant in Rawai has good Eastern Mediterranean food.

There used to be one close to the Two Black Sheep bar and restaurant in Patong, but, that was a few years ago. Probably shut down by now. Anyone know?

That one seems to be closed down for a longer period already. Otherwise, there is one in Nanai Road, coming from Banzaan turn right and after a few meters on the left side, with a Greek flag in the sign. I just had a look at the menu and was amazed about the prices. Seems like they want to get rich in one day. :realangry:

Even my Greek host (for drinking Ouzo and snooker only) - opposite Baan Kanjana - told me they are ridiculously expensive, but the food is not too bad, I learned.

Coincidence - I just asked the same question in the pinned restaurants thread. Old Croc tells me there's one near the south end of third road (Th. Phang Muang) on the east side. I'll be checking it out later today and will let you (OP) know.

Hi Ping,

That is a coincidence!

If you get the chance to go check it out...please let me know what you think of Old Croc's recommendation....

Thanks!

Many Thanks, I will have to go and check it out....price aside, it definitely sounds promising!

I had a look yesterday at about 3.30pm. It is the same one you talk about in your OP (Soi Tan becomes Th. Phang Muang further along). It was closed when I drove past, but it looks like it could be still in business. (Not a good sign that it was not open, though.) Its facebook page has had no activity for over a year. Try ringing them, perhaps? Tel: 0066 1747 3916

That looks like an old mobile number with the '8' missing.

^Could be - found it on the 'net somewhere.

4.30pm yesterday, still closed. Sometimes places close for a while when the owners go back home for a few weeks, but this place looks like there hasn't been any activity in some time. Phone number on the wall outside is 0817473916 (so stevenl was right).

I'm sure the place was open when I went past a few weeks back.

I pointed it out to a Greek/Australian guy who was here on holiday. He was going to visit it before he went home.

Well, it was closed again last night (around 8.30pm).
