Have you tried calling into the sorting office at Kathu post office and had a talk with the supervisor. It's often the case that the Thai postman can't read any/much English and rather than ask anyone he will just delivery somewhere. Politely inform them about your problem, write out your name and address for their reference. They will soon get the idea and hopefully service will improve.

Every time we get a new postman then mail goes missing. I just catch the postman on his rounds and make sure he knows our name & address.

Went to the post office and that was a dead end.

They seemed mildly incompetent and basically said they didn't know and I should check with the people who sent it. Even though I've not received several things from different senders.

Anything else I can do?

get a post box at post office. simplifies adress. make sure anyone sending to you use CAPITAL letters only. most Thais able to read english learn CAPITAL letters only

our alphabet looks extremely od for most Thais, Chinese, Japanese......... different symbol for same sound, and the position in a sentence decides which symbol to use
