Im about to start a new export business from Thailand to Europe. I have all the contacts placed in Europe and i have a sawmill ready in Poland. Now i just need a supplier from Thailand, i prefer North Thailand. So my question to you is, if any of you know someone who could help me get in touch to someone who can supply me with a wood sort called ipe. Its only this sort im interested in, and there should be a lot of it here in North Thailand.

If you are looking for Ipe you are on the wrong continent.......also exporting any round log or squared rough timber from Thailand has an export tax that makes it impractical to export.....in most situations. If you are interested in wood from Northern Thailand learn the Thai names and cross reference those with their botanical names. The wood business is similar to the gemstone business.......all is not what it appears to be.
