Tuition Fee?

Featured Replies

Whats the average Tuition fee of the school in Thailand? (University/College) At a school that's average ranking (Lets say out of 100 there rank 50)

Thanks!

Payap is a private institution and not public. It is also not ranked high. They have open admissions.

Different departments have different fees even at public universities. But the average fees are around 20-30k baht a semester.

It is true, Payap is a Private University. Private means it does not get funds from the government so tuition is higher at Payap. However, tuition is not the only cost students have to consider. Cost of living is important too and it is very expensive to live in Bangkok compared to Chiang Mai. Another factor is Thai program or International program. Even though you might study at a government school, if you study in an international programs you might be paying as much as you would in a private university.

Payap does have open admissions and any qualified student can apply.

Science Faculty (Chemistry) at KKU = ฿10,000 a term. That's not a guess.

There is at least one site in English that shows prices for most of the umis here. Can't remember the site name, but you should be able to find it with Google.

If you are talking a Thai program, most government schools are cheap but if you are talking an international program than KKU is a bit more expensive than you think. In fact, it's about the same as Payap University in Chiang Mai...and as mentioned earlier, Payap is a "private" university.

I was referring to a Thai program at KKU. Science Faculty/Chemistry Department.

I notice that you posted info re: Non Thai nationals.

There are probably people here that would be interested in the cost of those same programs for Thai nationals (with dual citizenship).

I think it is cheaper for people with a Thai ID card but only about 10,000 baht. It is cheaper at Payap too for Thai ID card holders.
