How To Find Out The Owner Of A Car?

Featured Replies

I need to find out who the owner of one car is. I have the license plate number.

A photo of the owner would be best for comparison.

Any hint would be helpful, I am not in Thailand right now, Compensation for assistance available.

I/We know where you are coming from, But think, In all honesty maybe better to walk away , Even in The UK you can win a Case and prove your point and still be out of pocket, you should know that if it is against a Thai there maybe add ons after the case. Think hard , been there done that ,

I think that you would need the assistance of someone local, with connections for that one. As you are not in the country right now. No chance.

Search the net for private investigators in Thailand. Any of them should have access to this information.

Or even easier, any police station. Be prepared to come up with a response to a question like 'and why do you need this information about so and so's nephew, niece, cousin, half brother, etc... Do you have some kind of problem?'

:)

Why are you trying to find out who the person is? Are you going to have a hit done on them?:whistling:

The cops are not going to do this for you, unless you know one very, very, well and who trusts you. They can get into big trouble for releasing personal information like this.

Best to go through a PI.

My need is quite harmless, it is more a kind of background-check. Noone will get hit or pursued.

If it is an auto accident and your side has insurance, use your insurance company's investigator. Make a claim and he will want to collect from the other party.

They'll do it if you have a legitimate LEGAL reason (that you plan to file charges on for example...). Which is I suppose the real question here.

private investigators quote was

1. Lookup vehicle owner: 7000 Bath

2. Lookup owner with picture: 6500 Bath

(gulp!)

Car parked outside your house overnight while you are away and your wife is at home?

I'm sure it is only her brother.
