I had great service from Magellan hand held units, navigating a small yacht in places it should not have been, about ten years ago. With particular reference to marine apps, does anyone have any comments about current Magellan units, or recommendations for alternatives?

Garmin has GPSMap60CSx which I use hand and motorbike, the newer 62, Oregon, Colorado and Dakota handhelds. Garmin also do a number of blue water charts.

Magellan is not as popular as Garmin in here. BTW there are no maps for Thailand. One of the recommended handheld units from Garmin: GPS Map 78s ( Garmin GPS Map 78s)
