Semi-Elegant/Elegant Restaurant Recommendations For Upcoming Parent'S Trip

Hi friends,

As you know my parents will be visiting Phuket for 4 days in early June. They will be staying at the Trisara.

Can you please recommend some nice 'sit down', semi-elegant or elegant places for them to dine. Unfortunately the street vendor options will not cut it due to their dietary preferences and health. Apart from Thai cuisine, they enjoy all cuisines.

Two names that have come to my mind so far are:

1) Baan Rim Pa

2) Mom Tri's Kitchen

Any other suggestions? e.g. Italian, Chinese, Japanese, European, Middle Eastern, etc.

Thanks so much,

regards,

desidude

Hi Desidude

Many excellent restaurants down here in Rawai.

Le Celtique (French cuisine)

Norbus Steak House

Nikita's (great seafront location)

...and many more.

The Sunday brunches at either the Twin Palms or Indigo Pearl are both well worth going to

The 9th Floor Restaurant in Patong is also an 'elegant sit down' restaurant...menu and prices etc available online

Nikita for a low quality sea thai style seaside restaurant

Le Celtique for below average french food (dibuk in phuket and les anges at the marina for better)

and Norbus steak house for cheap non-premium beef steaks cooked dark grey when you ask rare (went there 4 times, 4 times the food was terrible and overcooked)

Indigo just had the last Sunday Brunch for this season last Sunday.

They have one of the best Thai restaurants here in Phuket: BLACK GINGER

I thought that might be the case

Twin Palms is still going though. In my opinion either the Indigo Pearl or Twin Palms Sunday buffets could be easily added to the 'Must Do' in Phuket thread

A little closer to Trisara than a few of the options mentioned, in the Bangtao Place Plaza is a new Indian Restaurant called Deepavali.

I haven't eaten there yet but understand from someone else that it's the best Indian food around. mmmmmmm...........garlic nan.......
