Elephant Masters fight back after their elephants are confiscated by the City.

We joined the Mayor of Pattaya and members of his senior staff at the Pattaya Elephant Village to report on some interesting developments from yesterday’s story regarding the weekend round-up of elephants that are often seem roaming the streets of Pattaya. The elephant masters are furious with the local administration and have decided to fight back. Many of the masters, some of them drunk, have gone to the village demanding their elephants back. Some have even attempted to anger their elephants so they cause destruction and even injury to the staff at the village. An angry Mayor decided to tell the masters who wanted to leave Pattaya to take their elephants and never come to Pattaya, the others were told that their actions can lead them to pay a fine of 10,000 Baht or face a prison term of no more than 6 months. It appears this particular story is far from over.
