Water Marks On Car Windows

Featured Replies

Hello everyone

My new Toyota now has water marks on all the windows....which makes driving at night pretty difficult to see through the windscreen

I took the car to Toyota, who took me to a car valeting company, who showed me a tin of abrasive paste, which they said they use along with an electric polisher.

My concern is that this will cause circular scratching to the glass.....has anyone had any work carried out in this way.....or does anyone know of better product/way

i had a similar problem

a little internet reaserch turned up a cleaning powder called Bon Ami

i managed to get it at Truvalue near Theprassit/Sukhumvit junction

i did it by hand, a machine wasn't neccesary

i still use it occasionally when the screen gets really grimy with acid rain type spots

its only for use on exterior glass on vehicles

sun screen film is adhered to the inside of the creen, so if the car has film it wouldn't be a problem

its great too for granite/marble worktops

Thank you

I will use your suggestions..............they sound to be a lot more sense than the valeting companies grinding the glass

I had a similar problem and purchased a product in Lotus that also worked quite well.

That aside lets move this over to the motoring forum so that others can benefit from the advice here.

Yep, vinegar and hope the marks are not under the window film. Don't use on film. :)
