Another Day Of Power Outages In Jomtien;

Featured Replies

Just received following notice.

NO POWER (Jomtien soi 1-12)

No power in Jomtien area on June 16, 2011 from 08.00 – 09.00 & 16.00-17.00 hour.

The Regional Power Authority of Jomtien is going to upgrade their electricity distribution line.

It now seems to be there are more day with power distribution outages than days staff training and holidays at the the local British Consulate. :P

Thanks for the heads up. I was not aware.

"The Regional Power Authority of Jomtien" should be renamed to "A few guys wearing flip flops who drive motobike taxis at night" ;)

Ok, but at least they are doing a disconnect/reconnect in the morning for 1 hour, and another in the afternoon for 1 hour. Sounds about right.

In the past, they would have left us out all day. They obviously will do the mods off-line ----- there is a god and miracles do happen.

Out of curiosity, why do they refuse to upgrade the infrastructure to developed world level? This has been going on for ten years (actually more).
