I just completed LinguaEdge dot com's online 150 hour TESOL course. I feel really good after completing the course. I was expecting the course to be pretty easy (not).

They do provide a (65 pages in my case) portfolio at the end showing your written work. Feels good after completion and provides a lot of samples of your writing on more than 12 + subjects.

I feel like I did an MA - nearly. So much writing.

This course took me about 5 months to complete. Tests / quizzes are usually easy for me. I'd be cruising then get 3 writing assignments before I could proceed.

In the end all the writing was worth it. The writing is meant to pace the course well I guess. Also retention is probably much higher from written assignments.

LinguaEdge's course isn't easy. I got 94% overall. However I spent months writting and thinking and rewriting papers.

No doubt this TESOL course has changed many of my assumptions about learning and teaching. I'm happy to be finished - have some free time.
