I think I have an STD. I was penetrated anally by another man, but then requested him to put on a condom. This was Friday 11 June. Soon afterwards I had some anal discomfort, thinking hemaroids. I got stuff for hemarroids, but it got worse. Went to a hospital in Thailand who said I have a cut, which is possile as I had hemarroids a few months back. He gave me antibiotics and someting for infection. A few days later I woke up with severe headaches and muscle pains all over and something like arthritis in my feet (I do have high blood acid). I took stuff for gonnoria, not knowing what to do. Went back to the hospital where the doc gave me Vibramycin doxycycline (clamydia) which I now finished.

However I have developed a rash/red spots on my butt cheecks and a swollen lymph/gland between my penis and thy and a swollen vein going down towards near my anus. Next to my penis it looks raw-ish with one red dot on each side resembling a mosquito bite.

My rectum is not in pain, but it is sensitive and itchy. I urinate much more that usually and have a slight burn when I do, also when I ejaculate (which I wasn't able do do a week back). I have looked at STD pictures and have none of the sores or weird stuff on there and no blood or discharge.

Thank you

My best guess is that you sustained a small rectal tear that has become infected, as tears in that region easily do. The possible lymph node involvement suggests the infection is spreading to surrounding tissue. You need to see a doctor ASAP for appropriate treatment.

As for the slight burning in urination, this could be chlamydia - which in Thailand is sometimes resistant to doxycycline.

If you are in or near Bangkok I recommend you go to either:

OR

Silom Community Clinic

Both of these clinics specialize in STDs, the second one is specifically geared towards gay men.

Both are very inexpensive, and their staff are quite professional.
