I split up with my Thai wife 4 years ago,new G/F now,but now the ex wife does not like the new g/f (never met her never talked to her). She used to help me out with my visa every year although last year immigration changed the bank rules (bank must be in applicants name not wife and applicants name),I had the money in the joint account but they would not offer me an extension unless I slipped them 5k and opened a new account which I managed to do between 2pm and 4pm the same day (lucky boy they also changed my visa to Guardian visa, sneaky sneaky)).

So a year is gone and I'm back again but this year no 400k,been a bad year work wise and just paid the kids school fee's (now on Guardian Visa)so now broke.

My question to anybody is.

My visa runs out on the 16th July,I have to go to work in Manila from the 12th to 16th July, should I get a re-entry permit? (or should... I say will I be able to get one ?)

I plan to get a visa on arrival when I get paid, fly home and get a new non o multiple from Hull (hopefully can arrange that in 30 days)

Any help would be great, but any wise crackers don't bother,I've lived here 9 years and usually can handle most things visa related, this time I'm stumped and have an ex wife who would love for me to get refused entry as she has now discovered I am of no use anymore, I also have 2 kids with her that she calls the shots on (or should I say her mother calls the shots on)I'm sure this story is not a new one.

You do not qualify for an extension of stay, so why would you need a re-entry permit? When you return your current permision to stay will have ended so a re-etry permit will be useless.

As a Brit, you will get 30 days when you return by air and with birth certificate you will get a multiple non-O in Hull (or Brisbane, Australia).

The children don't seem to be living with you, so a 1 year extension of stay will not be possible.
