IF he is still chucking charlie up his hooter then Thailand is not a place he should carry on this practice.:whistling:

Is Robbie in Thailand.......has he played!

I hope he isn't down soi suk already,,,, he won't do that will he? biggrin.gif

Perfect!

I can see a trend starting of English premier "oldies" havin it up here,Let's hope he does well and pushes the publicity big time for the Thai premier League jap.gif

36 i think, but yeah you're right - he could be great PR for the league. he's pretty unfit though and the heat and humidity are i suspect going to batter him.

I think it has only been a few months without football for him.

From the pictures he doesnt look fat and untrained in any way.

The biggest concern is if he has gotten rid of the bad boy behavor from the past, and of course the heat/humidity here.

Hmm, come to think about it, still wanting to be a bad/naughty boy, and live in Thailand?

Not a good combination.

The bad boy behavior label is one attached by the British Tabloids, possibly more as a result of pressure applied by the British tabloids until snapping point - Many guys go out, get drunk and have a good time, we don't have the press to deal with. Always at our feet, at every turn hoping for a mistake many of us would reach snapping point. Some suggest that being such a public figure he should be better than than - He's not a politician, he's simply a very good footballer.

No one can be more than human and I suspect each and everyone of us, if famous could be branded with bad boy behavior - I got drunk a couple of nights ago, I encountered no problems, no one bothered me, but my stumble out of the club might not have made good publicity if I were expected to be more than a normal person.

Good luck to him and I hope he brings the required publicity into the Thai leagues.

A real character. I'm looking forward to a few funny stories emerging. All publicity is god with this one! biggrin.gif

Edit: No pressure Stevie but we expect to see him posting on the Lpool forum this season....whistling.gif

Surely you mean the Manchester City forum? :whistling:

A naturally gifted footballer,a shame he is going to be paraded around the Thai Premier League like a Trophy player,he is or was better than that.

Perfectly put! jap.gif

anyone know where to get muang thong's fixture list? i have got to get along to a match at some point.

Sunday 7th of August looks like it could be his first appearance, v Bkk Glass. You'd better get in the queue for tickets. :)

Due to another change of the TPL fixture list, it now appears that his first match will be on Saturday 6th August, away at Thai Port.

Been away for some time, at work.

How is Mr. Fowler doing it so far?

I understand he is a player/coach (or manager) now?

I've seen him on TV a couple of times and he is playing really well. There was a cup match that went to extra time and half the players were dead on their feet but Robbie did the full 120 minutes and was still getting up and down the pitch at the end. Finished 2-2. Cracking match. He conserves his energy but always seems to be in the right place at the right time and shows great awareness. At the moment Muang Thong are 2nd 9 points behind the leaders but have a game in hand. In the last 5 matches they have won 4 and drawn 1 He is certainly a big hit with the supporters

interesting couple of tweets from robbie fowler about his leaving muang thong.

robbie fowler

The president and CEO of Mtutd know why I quit and it certainly was nothing to do with results...

I dont know the full ins and out of it but I have a couple of Thai mates who are Mtutd fans.

It appears that Fowler never really fitted in well with Thailand - he was never that happy here and fans were not that happy to have him after the initial one night stand.

He was always leaving Thailand and wanted to play in India during the Thai pre-season.

BTW his tweeting about Thailand, missing England etc, was supposedly one of the reasons that he became so unpopular at the club.

yeah i could see that being a problem in thailand i guess, quite a loss of face involved when you're paying a guy a million baht a month and he's still not happy.

can't say i'm a fan of this indian league thing. sounds a bit of a freak show really and it's sad to see some real legends of the game involved in it. can't imagine anyone who retired in the last five years or so is particularly short of retirement funds.

too bad

was getting a chance to meet him last year..but the floods put a damper to all those plans

and now hes leaving!
