Ais Gprs Coverage

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have been looking at various web sites and they all seem to differ about AIS's GPRS coverage, Even the GSM Advance web site is a year out of date!

I am going up near (give or take a hour or two) Nong Khai for a few weeks and have no idea if my the GPRS will work.

Has anyone used GPRS in that area? or Anyone got a link to the latest coverage?

Thanks in Advance

Simon.

I have used both there. Both AIS and DTAC GPRS works fine in Nong Khai Area. AIS is known to provide better quality in my opinion.

Thanks George,

I have been using AIS GPRS for nearly 2 months on the special deal they have got on at the moment (Unlimited usage for six months) on Koh Samui and haven't had any problems with it at all. I can go on for a hour or 3 and not worry about the bill and I get between 30k and 40k download depending on the site. This may sound slow to you land line/broadband/satelite people but as I am moving around and don't have a fixed line it beats the 9600 I was getting out of the normal mobile data connection.

I don't know about DTAC but read they sell there service as nationwide coverage unlike AIS which is what got me worried about Nong Khai.

Simon
