Hi everybody,

A group of friends and I are planning on coming to thailand on wednesday. We are due to be in Thailand for 31 days.

We had planned on getting a tourist visa exemption for 30 days, and then extending this when we arrive or paying the fine.

However, we've now seen the thai consulate website

Which seems to suggest that we won't even get into the plane, or into the country without a full tourist visa.

Can anybody with some experience offer some advice? We'll be able to show our flights coming back 31 days after landing, but will they let this go, or turn us back at passport control?

Any advice and opinions from people welcome!

Thanks!

If staying more than 30 days a tourist visa or some other visa maybe required to board the departing flight. Maybe one day over will not be a problem, call your airline and ask them. Immigration has never asked me for onward travel ticket. with or without a visa

Immigration will not enforce the 30 day proof of onward travel but airline may. So you might want to check-in with time to buy an onward ticket if required.
