Mail In 90 Day Notification

Featured Replies

Has anyone been mailing in his/hers 90 day residence notification to immigration? Was there any problems?

Done it for years, never a problem. Do use registered mail.

But it might help to get better answers if you tell which office.

Procedure is here:

  1. Copy of all passport pages (up to the latest arrival stamp in the Kingdom or latest visa stamp)
  2. Copy of arrival/departure card TM.6 (front and back)
  3. Previous notifications of staying over 90 days (if any)
  4. Completely filled in and signed notification form TM.47
  5. Envelope with 5 Baht stamp affixed and return address of foreigner for the officer in charge to send back the lower part of form TM. 47 after having received the notification. This part must be kept for reference and for future notifications of staying over 90 days.
  6. The above mentioned documents must be sent by registered mail and the receipt of the registration kept by the foreigner.
Send the mail before the renewal date 7 days to

I have been using Phitsanalok Office "mail in notification" for a while and never had any problems.

Check with your local immigrations office.

Note that there is no 7 days grace period after reporting date for mailed notifications.

Gentlemen:

I have been using the Chiang Mai office. It is getting to be like asshol_e to belly button down there. They can only handle a certain quota each day. The overflow takes their ticket and returns the next morning. Thank you very much for the information. I will certainly give it a go next month.

I also believe it would be a good idea to sign each and every copy, front and back. Thanks for the information guys, appreciate it very much.

did it last month. Mailed it in by EMS about a week before the report date and got the slip back in the mail about 2 weeks later. By the way had to put a 10 thb stamp on the return , not 5 baht the web site says,

The webiste does say 5 baht, but Bangkok immirgaiton is known to ask for 10 baht for some reasons. At other immirgaiton offices, 5 baht seems to be no problem. So it does seem to depend on where you apply.
