Transfer For Condo In One Go Or Split Up?

Featured Replies

Is it possable to split the payments for a condo in sections? My condo needs part payments and a final payment. Can funds from oveseas be sent in monthly payments, or does the law require it to be all in one lump sum? Also what is the minum that must be sent from overseas remitance for a condo purchase?

or does the law require it to be all in one lump sum? No

Also what is the minum that must be sent from overseas remitance for a condo purchase? None but to get a FETF which is a requirement of the land office as proof of foreign source of funds you must remit in excess of US$50,000 but if the remittances are less than that you will get a Bai Rap Rong from the bank which will be accepted by the land office.

Will you be sending the monthly money direct to the developer though? If so ask them how they intend to provide evidence to the Land Office that you have transferred the money in from abroad in order to transfer the condo into your name.
