Coming Back To Ubon

Featured Replies

Hi

I will be Back in ubon Ratchathani at the end of August and looking for a good Hotel In town which is Clean and Near to the shops and the local Bars including the wrong way Cafe which i want to go to and Get the feel of a Expat living from Home. The hotel must have a decent in-room Safe that me laptop can fit into and After reading about some hotels in ubon, most dont mention about safes in rooms.

I did stay at the Sundee on my Last trip, great hotel but a long work from the Bars.

Hoping to visit more towns in the very near future

No brainer this one; stay at the Lai Thong which is only a one minute walk from the TC Kitchen which has, undoubtedly, more expats than the other two .. good grub to boot.

It is only a three minute drive/taxi ride to the Wrong Way.

In-Room Safe; not sure

Whatever and whichever .... enjoy Ubon!!

You could also try Pha Daeng Mansion almost opposite Wrong Way. The rooms are large, extra clean, wifi and only 450 baht a night. I also not sure about the room safe.

Ubon have a taxi service now, so its only about 45 baht to TC Kitchen.

No safe, but probably the best value place in Ubon and staggering distance from the wrong way. Jim

Its amazing how many of the hotels in ubon that don't have in-room Safes.

Regarding travel insurance, It says that you must keep your valuables in a safe or your not covered, after saying that , I stayed in a 4star hotel in Bangkok last year and it didn't have a safe!!! Its just a Pain not having one
