Not sure from the USA to Thailand, but from Thailand to the USA (Miami) I pay about $5K USD for a 40'container.

I would check with one of the major logistic companies.

We send 20ft containers to and from Long Beach and it is a little over 3k. However there are a lot of add on's. Trucking, customs, fumigation... So as mentioned before best to check with one of the shipping companies for more specific detailes

Can't give you any help on container costs, but a word of warning. Be very wary of the Customs Inspectors when your shipment arrives. Be prepared to grease some palms. My last shipment from Saudi cost us 10,000 baht even though my wife was entitled to the shipment duty free....and I stayed in the background and let her do the negotiating.

Are you still going to move to NBL?

Thanks, chuckd... Yeah, I'm a bit behind on my plans, but they're happening. I officially retire on October 1st. My wife is already back in The Village (west of NBL, south of Don Noi), looking after aging parents and generally greasing the family flow. In addition to the other properties we have, she just bought us a house!

Try these guys, they moved my stuff from the UK and arranged pick-up, shipping and customs clearance. Customs was taken care of in friendly way :whistling: .

Approx USD 5000 is the price for a 40”ft container to any port to and from the east cost of USA. That´s only for freight, nothing else. Try to contact abs-relocations.com I am sure they can help in any way you want.
