Work Permit Expired

Featured Replies

hi... my work permit expired on 4th August. i didnt notice it and when i see it dam_n the day is gone.. so what should i do? is there any new rules? can i extend it or i have to apply for a new one again?

Extending it or applying for a new one is basicly the same process, jut visit the labour office on Monday and be sure to have all the required documents, inlcuding medical check-up.

Hope your permisison to stay is stil valid.

medical checkup they accept only from the hospitals or the clinic will do fine? when i applied for the first time it was from a clinic and then for the first year extension i didnt give any medical checkup...

Either should do. But soem labour offices now require a more extensive check, with blood work.

Depends on your location.

Last year they wanted drawn blood to check for syphilis on Samui.

my staff told me that since my work permit is already expired i cant re-new it. i have to file a new application to get a new work permit.. is it true? or the same work permit can be re-newed? Mario2008 i am on a marriage visa and my visa is not based on my work permit therefore its still valid.

Depends on the labour office, but there is not much (if any) difference in paperwork and the cost is the same.
