Hi Mac Guru's

I have had to rebuild my macbook pro as the hard drive seemed to have a number of errors on it and the only way I could fix it was to completely wipe the HDD. I would like to connect my iPad up to iTunes again but of course my iTunes does not know my iPad and says its not authorized. Is there anyway I can get these two products to talk to each other happily again? My iPad has never been jailbroken if that information is helpful.

Have you signed in to iTunes since you wiped your HD? You have to authorize your computer again with iTunes. I had my logic board replaced in mine and it was the same thing as a new computer to iTunes. But I don't remember if it affected my iPod Touch or not. It probably did or I wouldn't have gone to the iTunes store to reauthorize my computer. I didn't have my iPad back when that happened, but the Touch uses the same iOS and cable.
