Iam not aware of rule on TV that prevents discussion of other forums.

A thread relating to a Korat forum was recently closed for an erroneous reason - there was no commercial posting or spam.

It was simply starting a discussion about the demise of a forum.

Can anyone enlighten me - Is there a rule I have overlooked, or was this just an individuals desire not to allow debate about other forums ?

I have just sen that Korat Farang is "closed".

Shame really, I would call in there occasionally and I believe that these small regional forums are good for local information and advice.

I agree that they are not in competition with Thai Visa and I use ThaiVisa.com for my main source of information (especially re visas etc) and the regional forums for local debate.

Guess you didn't look at the post showing the forum rule and why it was closed very carefully. Outlined below is the pertinent part. In that topic the URL to the forum was posted and as such in breach of this rule. The URL was removed and topic closed by a mod. This topic is also closed as it is discussing a moderator decision. PM the mod if you wish more specifics or support[at]thaivisa.com
