Ordering From The Apple Store (Thailand)

I've just placed an order through the Apple Store (Thailand) but have noticed that it'll be shipping from Singapore. Does anyone know whether or not I'll be charged a clearance tariff? On the Apple Store (Thailand) website it doesn't mention anything about it, only that it's free shipping. I don't want to be shelling out 20% on this! Has anyone else ever purchased a built to order Mac this way? Please help! Thanks.

This is what it says on the Apple Store (Thailand) website, but I don't know if I believe them. Have been stuck too many times having to shell out 1000s to DHL or UPS on things sent to me! Thanks again.

Apple Store purchases are inclusive of all local taxes and duties. If you phone in your order, the Apple Specialist will provide the final total amount of your order including all local taxes and duties and any applicable shipping charges at the time you place your order. The invoice Apple emails or posts to you will include the final total amount inclusive of all local taxes and duties and any applicable shipping charges for products purchased.

After ordering a few times already thru the Apple Store Thailand Website I can confirm that you will not have to pay any import duty (and your stuff should normally arrive directly from the Chinese Apple Supply Chain and not from Singapore). As far as I understand it Singapore is "just" handling all the billing.

Fantastic. I really appreciate the confirmation. Having to pay 20% on a computer would've been brutal - could fly to Singapore to pick it up for that much!

I ordered my iPad thru them - No duty...

Shipped directly from China factory to Chiang Mai

They sent me a DHL tracking number so I could track and set up SMS notification at the DHL website and it text me when the local DHL guys went out on delivery here in Chiang Mai :D
