Thai Immigration Still Checking Old Stamps ?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Are Immigration still diligently checking ALL OLD THAI entry/exit stamps - that is, checking for any fake stamps issued by dubious agents (Sadao B008 comes to mind)?

Or was that just leading up to APEC?

I need to update my visa soon. The problem: (slap my hand hard!) I have an old stamp from an 'agent', and I'm now assuming that the stamp may be a fake (taking the cautious approach as I'm really not keen on visiting the IDC ).

So... has anyone done a recent visa run, and know how thorough the checks are?

Or do I need to get a shiny new passport instead?

Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
