Construction Noise

I got a construction site next to me that goes from 6am till 9pm, the "Burmese Angle Grinder Symphony" is pretty constant and has been for the last year. I dont mind it during the day, I understand that everyone needs to make money from the project. But is there anything I can do with out getting shot to tone the noise down after dark (the noise is still going on at this time!!)

I sympathise with you. Had this sort of noise pollution over a number of years at various locations. Mu understanding of local laws is that in a residential area they are permitted to work until 22.00, then they must stop work. Nothing much you can do about it ...

0600 to 2200 is allowed, and until 2300 is usually accepted, and as any non party zone/ residential area bar is allowed until 2400, I find it hard to see anyone closing a construction site before this time

Normal OT is 1730-2100 at full days pay, so be happy whenever it stops at 21
