Nha Trang Vietnam

Featured Replies

Just wondering if a member can give a trip report on a recent visit to Nha Trang Vietnam. Maybe talk about their hotel, transportation from Saigon to Nha Trang, bars, girls, government restrictions and generally things to do. I have been to Saigon a few times but this time am considering 7 days in each place, but am concerned that may be a bit too much time in Saigon and Nha Trang, due to "tourist" limitations.

Hotels cover the full spectrum of prices....the beach is excellent and clean....expat bars girlie bars and a few upmarket places...all on a much lower scale than you would expect in Pattaya for example.

A lot quieter nightlife generally but a few late night places to keep you amused....boat trip is the way to go....try the one with the cocktail party thrown in...a cracking day out that is....

I'd spend 4/4/4 and add Hoi An to the list....that really is a don't miss place. Then fly back to Saigon from Danang. wink.gif

Hoi An is nice for a day but it's flooded now.

Good point....don't go...it sucks.

I have just booked Sheraton Nha Trang for 3 nights over Songkran to get away from the madness. Looking at flights now. Anyone got any recommendations..I hear that you can fly direct from BKK to Nha Trang but can't find anymore on that. Also any idea of beer prices etc would be appreciated.

Nha Trang is a lovely place, lots of Farang food plus great seafood plus Vietnamese food. A bottle of local wine might cost 150 to 200 baht in a restaurant.

Plenty to do and see locally.

If you want to travel Saigon to Nha Trang in one day, it's a long bus ride. Better to fly or break the bus journey overnight in Mui Ne.

Trains are also an option, as are sleeper buses.

Flying with Pacific Jetstar is about 35 USD one way.

Lots of Russians there.
