Phitsanulok province will hold the National Sports Day games on December 16th, with 1,500 athletes participating in international and traditional sporting events.

Mr. Santi Krusuansombut (สันติ กรุสวนสมบัติ ), the deputy governor of Phitsanulok province, stated that the Cabinet has designated December 16th of every year as the National Sports Day, to commemorate His Majesty the King's gold medal victory in sailboat racing at SEAP Games in 1967.
