Eddie has to go, my vote is for Gus Hiddins to take over. :o

Bronco, I think you mean Gus Hiddink. Too many Chardonnay's last night mate?

I dont think you can really blame Eddie for the current slump. He just doest have the players available. Theres no trophys at stake at the moment and at least he is blooding as many new players as he can. All countries go through rebuilding phases at some stage. Look at England after the last World Cup and even the All Blacks have gone through rebuilding phases.

Ewan Mckenzie (a mexican i must add) seems to be the heir apparent but i dont really think we would do any better if he were to take over.

I see a Ralley driver quit in Australia after killing a Kangaroo. What should the England rugby team do after destoying 15 Wallabies.

Hey Fellas I've just joined the Forum and was happy to see that there are some Rugby Union fans out there. I think the Wallabies will win the next two games against Ireland and Wales, anyway I hope so for Eddies sake. As for George I feel a bit sorry for him, I believe that if he was playing behind the All Black pack he would still be one of the best Halfbacks in world rugby.

Just a general question, myself and a few mates are looking at going to Pattaya Beach next year, are you able to see any of the Super 12's soon to be Super 14 games live on Satallite TV. If you can see the games live over there we we're looking at holidaying there in 2007 and taking in the World Cup games in Pattaya be cause we can't afford to go to France.

Any information would be appreciated.

Regards

John, Yep everything is on UBC.

Thanks Cobber for your reply, is the UBC readily available at most Bars and will the Bars stay open for you if the games are on at a ridiculous hour ?

I was hoping to stay in Pattaya for the World Cup in 2007 and wanted to get a Bar, that has a lot of Aussie, Kiwi and British Expats that would show the games, I think it would be a great atmosphere to watch the games in.

I think the final score was Wallabies 27 Ireland 14, not a vey good game, however a win is a win.

I hope the Kiwis do what they did last World Cup and peak a year too early, however their coach Graham Henry is a smart operator and he has virtually two teams at the moment that are competative with all the major Rugby playing Nations so the All Blacks won't suffer from player burnout.

John, A lot of the bars have UBC now as there is not much sport on the local cable anymore. No problem finding a bar still open for the late games. Out the back of

Tim's gogo is a good quiet spot to watch sport or if you are after some place a bit more lively The Sportsman which is on Soi 12 (i think) is ok. Pretty rare to have UBC in your hotel room so you might want to keep this in mind when selecting a hotel.

I think that's a bit harsh. Jones is a world-class coach, and none of the Wallabies' failings in the Eng-Aus game are down to coaching. The tight five just didn't front up - and that is down to each individual's bottle, quite frankly. The Wallaby backs are still outstanding (that Drew Mitchell is an exciting prospect) and run beautiful lines. Had they had any sort of platform, they would have cut England's defence.

The Aussies may miss the sheer aggression of Owen Finnegan etc, but the back row was fine, with the brilliant George Smith and the good but overrated Phil Waugh. The problem was 1-5. That is nothing new. They got a hiding in the RWC 2003, as well.

No, keep Jones. And for me, Gregan is as good a scrum-half as you'll find in the world. I'd rather have him that Kelleher or Weepu, anyway. What he's lost in pace is not a big problem - the first 3 yards are gained in the head through experience.
