Ottawa man faces child pornography charge

An Ottawa man has been charged with possessing child pornography. The man was arrested by the Ottawa Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit on Wednesday after he returned from a trip to Thailand.

Police said a man had child pornography with him on his return. He was interviewed, arrested and his house searched. During the search Thursday, four laptops were seized, along with a large quantity of analog and digital media.

Jean Francois Coupal, 45, was to appear in court Thursday.

If it is indeed child pornography (as oppose to nude teenagers photos that also fall into this category in some countries), then it is a good thing they got him.
