Is There An Alternator Repairer In Phuket?

Featured Replies

The alternator on my Chevrolet Zafira is faulty, which normally means that one or more of the diodes have failed.

Chevrolet are unwilling to send it for repair to Bangkok, since the repair shop is under water, and want to charge 30,000 baht for a new alternator!

A repair of this type is normally quite cheap and easy - we are only talking about replacement of diodes.

Can anyone suggest an alternator specialist in Phuket who can test and repair my unit?

Thanks - Simon

Years ago I had a similar problem with my Land Rover. I was told to try a small repair shop in Tilok Uthit 2 (that's the road to the side of Royal City Hotel). Corner unit about opposite the Cashew Factory. Looks more like a home than a repair shop. Cleanest/best equipped repair shop I have ever seen. They specialise in Alternators and Starters. Fixed my problem without drama. Give them a try (if they are still there as this was quite a few years ago).

Well done LIKata! You are absolutely correct and they are still there.
