Which Pantip are you on about? Seriously the one on Phetchaburi road is accessible, the other on Ngamwongwan Road has been open everyday.

Sorry - I am not a Bangkokian and thought there was only the Petchaburi Rd store! It's hard to know what the conditions really are in BKK cos you can't believe what you read, hear & see.

Thanks Beano2274, I will drive up on Wednesday.

Pantip Plaza next to Platinum off of Rajadamri is still open no problems, all waiting to rip off any unsuspecting punter with their junk.

Yep, I am aware and exercise "caveat emptor" but as I am wanting to purchase a recognised brand name Laser colour MFC I am comfortable that their opportunity for a big ripoff should be limited.

Thanks

Okay, I'll bite...

What's at the one on Ngamwongwan Road? Is it worthwhile visiting?

BTW, I've been to the other Pantip a few times during the past few weeks, walking up from the BTS Chit Lom and Siam. No problems at all except the crowds which seem to be bigger with Chatachuk's problems.

It is relatively small, ground floor has a few shops and restaurants, 2nd floor telephone shops and a few other bits and bobs, 3rd floor Buddhist amulets, 4th floor computer and a few other things, 5th floor more computer and food court, 6th floor small market areas, 8th floor used on weekends for people to sell second hand goods, sometimes used for more Buddhist Amulet shops.

Pity, if there's one place in Bangkok that deserves to be flooded - Old-Testament-style - it's that den of thieves and pornographers.

It's the only place in Thailand in eight years I've ever been subjected to threatening behaviour (didn't work, but they REALLY want to sell those 'sexy dee-wee-dees')

There's always Fortune Town, slightly smaller but less outright criminality.

Where abouts is Fortune Town?
