Went to the Rang Hill Dental Clinic last Sunday to see the root canal specialist. She informed me that it doesn't look like I need a root canal - one of the fillings just needs replacing. She replaced the filling with a temporary one and told me that if the pain persists, then I probably need a root canal and to come back and see her. No pain so far, however the extraction of the old filling was extremely painful even though she injected me with novocaine.

What pisses me off is that when I first went to this dental clinic the normal dentist looked at the x-ray and said that I definitely needed a root canal, and that he could begin the procedure to alleviate the pain and then I could come back next week when the specialist was available. What an idiot. Make sure you ask to see a specialist if you're getting any kind of restoration work done.
