Sony'S Mirrorless Technology

Featured Replies

Came across this presentation by Sony and sponsored by B&H Photo. Very impressive technology and feature set for the new NEX series of which the NEX-7 is currently on the top of my list. Problem is, no certainly as to when it will actually be available now due to the flooding. Talk of early next year now. :(

It is a long video, 1 hour 48 minutes, but you can jump through it. Very informative though the Sony rep does make some mistakes during the presentation.

No good for the aged, like me.

My hands are far to unsteady to hold a camera, or phone at

arms length for use.

I need a real viewfinder, up against my face to stability. :bah:

The NEX-7, the one I'm seriously interested in, does have an electronic viewfinder (EVF) - 2.4M RGB pixels OLED with 100% coverage along with the LCD. All the reviews I've seen so far state it is the best they've ever seen excluding optical. The NEX-5N has it as an optional attachment.
