Adult Websites - Legal To Operate From Thailand?

Featured Replies

I'm an expat farang living in Thailand.

I have hundreds of websites that I earn my living from.

I've decided to venture into the adult websites to diversify.

While researching sites etc, it dawned on me that it might be illegal to do this from within Thailand.

Now I realize that for most things 'illegal' is just a sick bird in Thailand .... (ill eagle, get it?!) ...

and I can proxy myself through a few layers to confuse things, but it slows down connections.

Anyone have any reference as to whether running porn sites is illegal here?

In answer to your question, 'almost certainly'.

I assume you will be simply administering the site from within Thailand rather than actually hosting it in-country. This may make the bird less sick.

Since discussion of illegal activities is not permitted by forum rules I'm going to close this for now.

If anyone can come up with a good reason to re-open (ie have some official information that it is not illegal) please PM me or another Mod and we will discuss internally.
