3G In Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

I get 3G with both AIS and DTAC here in Chonburi which is fine for streaming live EPL football at the weekends. I've got to go to Chiang Mai for a couple of weeks and, according to their maps, 3G is available from AIS but is there any 3G via DTAC available there?

I've got DTAC and a phone that would work with their 3G in Chiang Mai. They haven't rolled it out here yet. Its AIS or True at the moment.

TRUE is on the same waveband, so you can use that whilst in Chiang Mai.

Thanks for the replies, I thought that might be the case. There's four or five football matches I'd want to watch while I'm there but I've only got about 1.5 gig left @ 3G on my AIS sim while there's the full 5 gig left on my DTAC card so I'll have to hope the matches are shown on one of the hotel's TV channels.

Is True selling a package of 5GB of 3G prepaid for a month? I saw it costing about 699 Baht. Correct me if I am wrong. Anyone used this in Chiang Mai? Kindly input some comments.

Why don't you by 1-2-call SIM from AIS and topping up 5GB package for 899THB ext VAT.

Actually, for Truemove H there also had pre-pay SIM too.

10GB for 1699 THB (ext VAT?)

Other than TRUEMOVE any other alternatives to recommend? I will be staying near Kaew Nawarat area hoping the 3 G is okay.
