True Move H officially launched the iPhone 4S late Thursday night.

The company also donated proceeds after expenses from the first 1,000 iPhone 4S devices sold were sent to charity foundations for flood relief.

True Corporation officially launched the iPhone 4S late Thursday night at the Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon Department Store, and also introduced the accompanying 3G+ service from the mobile carrier True Move H.

iPhone 4S is the latest Apple mobile phone designed by the late founder Steve Jobs.

It was first released in the United States during October.

There was a long line of people waiting to pick up their devices, which they reserved online.

The launch event also featured mini-concerts from popular artists and an auction of iPhone 4S cases designed by celebrities including Panya Nirandkul, Prapas Chonsaranont, Mom Luang Jirathorn Jiraprawat, Boy Kosiyapong and Pancake Khemanit.

The auction was able to raise over 1.1 million baht, which will be donated to the Thai Red Cross Society for flood relief usage.

On top of that, proceeds after expenses from the sales of the first 1,000 iPhone 4S mobiles at the event will go to the Thai Red Cross Society and the Power of Thai charity program.

The first person in Thailand to own the iPhone 4S from True Move H was 25-year-old electrical engineer Tantikorn Woradee, who had been queuing at the venue since 10 A.M.

He bought a 64 gigabyte white model and received a premium gift pack worth 10,000 baht for the merit.
