cardholder Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 One wonders if there is enough evidence to charge Suarez ?
bkkjames Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 So mr capello, still your england captain is he?
carmine Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 So mr capello, still your england captain is he? Just goes to show what a stupid flawed idea it was in the first place to reinstate him. Add to that the crass manner in which capello handled the matter and it perfectly sums up the manager and the FA.

I hope he plays tonight....I'm really looking forward to that!

Abrak Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I wonder if Terry is found guilty whether the FA will organize an appeal for Terry like they did for Rooney.
smokie36 Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I wonder if Terry is found guilty whether the FA will organize an appeal for Terry like they did for Rooney. Not quite the same Abrak. I doubt he'll be appealing his fine in a criminal court. Far less being supported by the FA.
nellyp Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Once he has been found guilty (I can not see how he can be found innocent) The FA need to ban him for 10 games and give him a months wage fin,e. If they are serious about racism as they are claiming they would surely have no other option.
nellyp Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 One wonders if there is enough evidence to charge Suarez ? Totally different case, there is no evidence and it's a lot more complicated to get a result with the nuances of a foreign language. Plus they would have to charge Evra as well as he has also admitted to using racial language

If they are serious about racism as they are claiming they would surely have no other option. If that was the sum total of his ban and fine i think Terry and Chelsea would be very relieved. The ban should be much longer and he should lose the England captaincy once and for all.

Totally different case, there is no evidence and it's a lot more complicated to get a result with the nuances of a foreign language. Why are you trying to defend someone who has admitted using racist language?
nellyp Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 One wonders if there is enough evidence to charge Suarez ? Totally different case, there is no evidence and it's a lot more complicated to get a result with the nuances of a foreign language. Plus they would have to charge Evra as well as he has also admitted to using racial language No evidence? so why have they found him guilty? Why are you trying to defend someone who has admitted using racist language? They found him guilty because, as you say, he admitted using language that the panel decided was racist. He, however did not admit it was racist. In fact you may have noticed that I used the word racial not racist in my original post as I don't know if he was trying to assert some kind of superiority over Evra, which is what racism insinuates. A court of law would have a more difficult time proving the language was meant to racially offend as was used in a different language, and the language spoken in Suarez's country is the said language. Whereas Terry was speaking in English and using words that are offensive in the UK . I am not trying to defend Suarez, if he is guilty Ok, let him serve his suspension, Evra should also serve a ban though as he also admitted using a word that is definitely racially offensive to South Americans. I also think that Suarez will be given a suspension for his gesture at Fulham. I have seen a photo of that and so believe he should be punished. I love Suarez as a player but think that he does need some advice on how to behave.
nellyp Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 I have just been told by an African mate of mine that if you go tut tut to somebody who can speak the click language it mean "F&*K off you wa%*^r, I am going to kill your family and F@*K your favourite pet. Who would have guessed that huh. Must be true though, He told me it was.
bkkjames Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I see chelsea have agreed for cahill, perhaps not too confident of the captain of england's chances...
smokie36 Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I see chelsea have agreed for cahill, perhaps not too confident of the captain of england's chances... I think James you'll find the fee wasn't a big deal for several top clubs in the summer...but his wage demands are ridiculous.
smokie36 Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Good signing this is-for the rest of us. I think that's twice we've agreed this year.
bkkjames Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 We better hurry smokes, this year is almost up. Try the lasagna yet at dukes. Sorry to throw a wrench into your poll thread, someone has to keep that baby I check. Top of the league tonight for the start of jan 1? I see a 5-1 scoreline coming.

Funny enough James I had lasagne last night. You should tell JT about this one...it might help to smooth things over. Il Forno in Siem Reap....the melanzane was great as well...I hear that's his favourite dish. 5-1? But our game finishes before midnight?
