The CMPG's fourth annual Photographic Exhibition runs from January 14th to Jan 29th in Northern Village, CentralPlaza, Chiangmai Airport (as it's now known!). The Dean of the Fine Arts Faculty at CMU will be cutting the ribbon at 4:00pm on the 14th and if you are invited to join us for a glass of wine or two and what promises to be some delicious food by one of our sponsors, a new restaurant called Susie Cucina.

There will be about 120 prints by 25 photographers and we try hard to present an eclectic mix while steering away from the kind of images those of us who live here see all too often - temples. more temples, cute kids, cute temples and the ever popular Monk On A Motorbike.

The CMPG is a non-profit organisation which aims to further all aspects of the picture taking abilities of its members through the sharing of skills and mutual support in an informal and inclusive atmosphere. We meet on Wednesdays at 7.00pm every fortnight at the Airport Greenery Hotel and all those with an interest in photography, be it film or digital, are warmly invited. For details of meeting dates please visit www.cmphotogroup.com. Meetings are conducted in English but all nationalities are welcome.

If you can't make it in person but know someone in Chiang Mai who might be interested, please let them know about our show - getting the word out is very helpful to us. The exhibition runs daily from 11:00 to 8:00pm through to 6:00pm on Sunday January 29th.

Thanks KW. The opening was really well attended by over 100 people and this year the management at Central have given us a vote of confidence along with a giant (well, giant to us) poster site in a prominent position. When we saw how it had turned out we just had to go and pose for a picture...

The first Monday saw about 400 visitors which is good because it's not generally very busy in the mall.
