Oman Tourist assaulted and robbed on Pattaya Beach

PATTAYA: -- A tourist from Oman was assaulted and robbed on Pattaya Beach in the early hours of Saturday. The incident took place opposite the Best Friend Bar Complex just before 3.30am and the victim, Mr. Mustafa Alagmi aged 23 sustained facial injuries and was taken to Hospital where Police were told that he was walking along the beach alone when he was confronted by a woman who suggested the pair return to his Hotel together. The pair walked down to the beach itself to discuss the proposition further when two Thai men emerged from the darkness and proceed to assault Mr. Alagmi, during which time, his Blackberry mobile phone and 3,000 Baht in cash were taken from him. The men were then seen to leave on a motorbike in the direction of Walking Street.

Maybe because we like living in a place where there is nice countryside ,nice beaches close by ,easy access to Bangkok ,but hey what would you know ,people like you have only ever been on beach road and walking street.

I am starting to get the feeling that the crime rate in Pattaya is up. Yes? Of course statistics are meaningless as probably the majority of crimes aren't reported.

Normally they head the opposite way

After all Beach Road is one way

And they only want to go one way

Not the safest of places to walk at that time of night,and no doubt Bangkok is the same.Having said that,its a lot safer than stoke on trent at night lol.
