Does anybody have a good recommendations on any shop with a good selection of full face crash helmets.

In Phuket City, just around from Robinson on the way to Immigration. Look up 7°52'34.81"N,98°23'37.86"E on Google Maps or open the attachment in Google Earth. The guy speaks reasonably good English, his shop got all the spare parts in stock. Highly recommended.

Heading out of Patong to Karon on the left side as you go up the hill there's an Indian statue out the front. There's a shop selling helmets but not the cheap local ones.

Ya know that using a copy crash hat is just dumb. I have see some real good one at the Ducati Shop on Chao Fah West near to Shell Oil and becfore Rolly Tasker going south!

Also the MCW (Motorcycle World - used to be Triumph dealers) a couple of blocks from the main food market in Phuket Town (near Robinsons). They have a good selection, of helmets and protective clothing etc. I think that any 'serious/large bike' dealer would have at least Shoei etc.

If you find them, Shark, made in China but are superior to many at a fraction of the cost of many.

Is the shop actually called motorcycle world? Do you know the name of the road that it's on?

go cheaper, INDEX and AVEX like 1000 baht, I have crashed them and I am still almost fine. Big C extra at Jungceylon

As you head out of patong towards karon, near the top of the hill on the left hand side there is a big harley garage/bar and they stock shark.... i think they're the only one on the island.
