KKvampire Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 When I import/transfer photos from my Sony camera to my PC and then try to view them in the "tile " mode so I can browse them, I see all the images with the same landscape tile, so I am unable to see the image unless I click on the image. How can I rectify this so to see each image as a tile?. Hope someone can help
CharlieH Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 In the top right corner of the file view window is a small icon "change view options" click that and you can select how you view the images.
KKvampire Posted February 8, 2012 Author Posted February 8, 2012 In the top right corner of the file view window is a small icon "change view options" click that and you can select how you view the images. I have seen that option but whatever option selected it doesnot show the images when in tile format its just a tile that is the same for all images, there must be another way , Is it to do with the format of the image?
astral Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Download and install FastStone This will then handle photo viewing for you and simply hitting the Enter key will take you from one to the next
janverbeem Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 My picture folder shows the images when i select MEDIUM icons in the viewing index. If I select small icons it will show the landscape icon.
BangkokImages Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Are these RAW files from your Sony? And is your Win7 and x64 version? If the answer to both of these questions is yes, then you should know that Win7 doesn't supply/support x64 codecs for RAW files. Either do the camera manufacturers. But these people do. Download and install the free codecs, reboot, and you will be able to see RAW files on an x64 Win7 machine using Explorer. Bangkok Images is a Thai Visa advertiser. I don't see a free version there, only a 15 day trial??

Try the Microsoft versions someone linked below. If they work for your camera great, but know they are very limited and don't support many new and many old cameras. They also don't support many brands. After making us wait over 6-7 years for x64 codecs Microsoft gave us a half-baked product.. and that's being generous. Bangkok Images is a Thai Visa advertiser.
