Good (Romantic) Thai Restuarant - Central Bkk - Valentines Day

Featured Replies

I've got it pretty much all in the title. I'm looking for a decent restuarant within a sensible proximity to Central BKK that is romantic and will work out to around or less than 3,000 THB. Any suggestions? Preferrable somewhere that will take a reservation as to avoid any nasty surprises on the night ;-)

Gedhawa is good, soi 39 but don't know about romantic

Baan Klang Naam, Pra Ram 3 /Soi 14

I think you are going to be hard pressed at this point getting a reservation.

I was able to do the dinner cruise here (http://www.chaophrayacruise.com/) a couple years ago and able to book the day before. It is romantic and I believe 1500 per person.

PS - they have a free van that will pick you up at the major hotels along Sukimvit. You don't need to be staying at the hotel, just wait in the lobby .. of course they will bring you back too after the cruise..

That's the boat where they play music so load it's impossible to have a conversation, if romance is what you're after I'd stay away from this one.

Youre looking in the wrong place. Florence,Venice and Paris are romantic. Bangkok is everything you can imagine except romantic.

I suppose sitting outside in a Nana beer bar sipping a chang with peenoi on a full moon is a possibility.

At least its central.violin.gif

We certainly didn't experience this and sat right next to the dance floor a few about 5 meters from the band. I fact, I don't even think the band does much of anything except for the last 30-minutes or so when dinner is over, the plates are collected and people can dance and and move around freely.

You could try KINNARI on Soi 8, down the road entrance just side of Det5 nice outside ambience, I went there last year without reservation and still got a table.

For a "tahi" experience, I like Sortrel (one on Narathiwas, one on Rama 3). Nice, clean, good food...but will be packed tonight!

Unless the OP has booked by now -- I am guessing it is going to be a Burger King or McDonald night out as Sizzler will also probably be packed.
